It was in 1995 that Arya and Ahmad Razavi founded the company
CASPIAN TRADITION. Established in Belgium since 1987, both had
initially attended the Brussels campuses.
Certainly, their respective families predisposed them to such a
specialized vocation, particularly Ahmad's family, where expertise
has been passed down from father to son for over 40 years.
Undoubtedly, the Iranian origin of the individuals involved helped
consolidate the necessary contacts within the very exclusive world
of caviar.
It is in this spirit that Dr. Ahmad Razavi personally visits fish
farms around the world several times a year to passionately select
his goods. On-site selection is an essential step in ensuring that
the merchandise is above all suspicion, and the couple, who grew up
in this very closed circle, can boast of being among the few
insiders who guarantee such a centuries-old tradition.
CASPIAN TRADITION, as a direct producer and importer, exports 90%
of its caviar to other countries in the European Union as well as
to other continents.
Caspian Tradition quickly gained prominence in the caviar trading
world and earned the trust of its gastronomic and international
clientele thanks to its Iranian expertise in the field.
Initially specialized exclusively in Iranian wild caviar, Caspian
Tradition has adapted to the market by offering farmed caviar from
various species of sturgeon raised in different corners of the
world. It has also begun to offer other fish eggs such as salmon
roe, trout roe, as well as other delicacies like King crab, foie
gras, smoked salmon, saffron, truffles, etc.
In 2009, a shareholding began with the company JIK GmbH in
Düsseldorf, opening a wide range of Asian products, and in 2011,
Caspian Tradition acquired La Maison du Caviar in Brussels, which
is currently part of the core team.
